Take 3 adult children who live on opposite ends of the country, add in families and busy lives of their own, and ask them to plan a 50th anniversary party for their parents who live hundreds of miles from all of them. Did we mention it was a surprise?
Sounds like a recipe for disaster, doesn't it?
Not so fast. Siblings Suzanne (Seattle), Allan (Austin), and Bethany (Boston) came up with a plan to throw a memorable anniversary celebration for their parents, Christine and Charles (Columbus)–and still be talking to each other when it was all over.
They decided Bethany would be in charge of anniversary party favors. What in the world could she get for 50 guests of all different ages and interests? She wanted something creative, fun, memorable, and relevant to the occasion. It only took a few moments on MyJellyBelly.com and Bethany found exactly what she was looking for. Everyone knew the real kids in the family were Christine and Charles' tiny Yorkies. They carted the pups everywhere (and they'd probably show up at the anniversary party, whether or not they were on the guest list).
So Bethany chose adorable Doggie Bone Tins for all the guests. It was easy-peasy to upload a photo of her parents with the pups, and in a matter of moments she filled them with Jelly Belly beans in her parents' favorite flavors: A&W® Root Beer (Dad) and Lemon Drop (Mom).
One more click and everything was ordered and on the way to Aunt Mil in Columbus who agreed to hide everything until the big day.
Bethany knew Suzanne and Allan would have to agree the party favors were fantastic. Sibling rivalry rules.
